Yankees News: James Paxton Out 3-4 Months After Surgery on Back Injury

James Paxton will miss the start of the 2020 MLB season after the New York Yankees announced he underwent a "microscopic lumbar discectomy with removal of a peridiscal cyst."

The Yankees expect the veteran left-hander to return in three to four months. They open the year March 26 against the Baltimore Orioles.
