Yankees News: Gio Urshela Out 3 Months After Surgery on Elbow Injury

INF Gio Urshela underwent surgery today to remove a bone chip from his right elbow. The procedure was performed by Yankees Head Team Physician Dr. Christopher Ahmad at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital & went as expected. Urshela’s anticipated recovery time from surgery is 3 months.

On Friday, the club announced third baseman Gio Urshela underwent surgery to remove a bone chip in his right elbow and will need three months to recover. That timeline should have him able to participate in spring training assuming there are no setbacks.
