Blue Jays prospect 1B Rowdy Tellez had a huge game on Wednesday for Low-A Lansing, going 4-for-5 with a home run, three doubles and three RBI.
Tellez is off to a hot start this year after receiving a taste of the Midwest League late last season, as Monday’s four-hit performance pushed his season batting line to .291/.348/.488 through 32 games. The 20-year-old left-handed hitter also has 10 doubles, five home runs and 22 RBI in that span. He’s several years away from reaching the major leagues, but Tellez has the offensive profile to support a career at first base.
