Starter Clayton Kershaw and the Los Angeles Dodgers are reportedly close to reaching a deal, according to Yahoo Sports' Jeff Passan.
The seven-time All-Star is set to make $65 million in the last years of his contract. Kershaw and the Dodgers have reportedly discussed adding another year to the deal and increasing his paycheck to more than $90 million over three seasons, per The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal.
Both sides agreed Wednesday to extend the deadline for Kershaw to decide on whether or not he would opt-out of his option to Friday.
