The New York Yankees head into Tuesday on the heels of a nine game road trip with the finale being an Interleague two-game matchup against the Washington Nationals. The Yankees’ offensive woes continue to haunt the team, especially as of late with a 2-5 losing skid in their past seven games. As the story has been all season, the bats have yet to produce at a consistent level. Regardless of their offensive inconsistencies, the Yankees still sit on top of a lackluster American League East division with a 22-17 record.
