Boston Red Sox star Mookie Betts left Sunday's game against the Texas Rangers with what was described as a right shoulder contusion, according to Ian Browne of MLB.com.
He is reportedly day-to-day with the injury.
Betts was replaced by Blake Swihart in the second inning after going 1-for-2 with a run to start the game.
The 25-year-old outfielder has done a good job of staying available early in his career. Even with a trip to the disabled list (concussion) in 2015, he averaged 152 games in his first three full seasons in the big leagues.
