MLB Rumors: J.D. Martinez Has Contract Offers from Mets, Angels; Both Too Low for DH

Former Los Angeles Dodgers designated hitter J.D. Martinez received contract offers from the New York Mets and Los Angeles Angels, both of which were "too low for his liking," per The New York Post's Jon Heyman.

Martinez, who is coming off a one-year, $10 million deal with the Dodgers, reportedly declined a $15 million bid from the San Francisco Giants. While he may not get the number from another team, Heyman noted that he's looking to get close.

Last season, Martinez had 117 hits, 33 home runs and 103 RBI.
