Two players from the Minnesota Twins, Brian Dozier and Glen Perkins, were participants in Tuesday night’s All-Star Game. Not only were they both representing the Twins, but they both also received playing time from AL manager Ned Yost. What they did with that playing time is what made headlines Wednesday morning.
Dozier came into the game in the top of the eighth inning as a pinch-hitter for Jason Kipnis. It was his first ever at-bat in an All-Star Game…and he hit a home run (the first home run hit in an All-Star Game by a Twin since Kirby Puckett in 1993).
