Michael Cuddyer Reportedly Retiring After 15-Year MLB Career

Veteran outfielder Michael Cuddyer is hanging up his mitt after 15 years, according to Adam Rubin of ESPN.com. Kristie Ackert of the New York Daily News confirmed the report.

Cuddyer spent the first 11 years of his major league career with the Minnesota Twins before joining the Colorado Rockies for three years then signing last offseason with the New York Mets, where he was part of his first career pennant win.

The 36-year-old veteran rejected a $15.3 million qualifying offer from the Rockies last winter in favor of a two-year, $21 million deal with the Mets, with $12.
