Mets, Ex-Yankees RP Dellin Betances Reportedly Agree to 1-Year Contract

The New York Mets and relief pitcher Dellin Betances reached agreement on a one-year contract.

SNY.tv's Andy Martino, Joel Sherman of the New York Post and MLB Network's Jon Heyman reported the news. Sherman added the Mets are expected to make an official announcement Tuesday.

Betances developed into one of MLB's top relievers with the New York Yankees. He compiled a 2.36 ERA and 1.04 WHIP with an eye-popping 621 strikeouts in 381.2 innings across 358 appearances for the Yanks from 2011 through 2019.
