Washington Nationals ace Max Scherzer suffered a hamstring injury on Wednesday, according to MASN Sports' Mark Zuckerman.

While Scherzer says he's "not really concerned" about the ailment, the discomfort forced him to exit his start against the New York Mets after one inning.

The three-time Cy Young winner tossed 27 pitches (14 strikes), giving up one hit, one walk and one earned run with one strikeout.

This is not the first time in recent years the right-hander has dealt with an injury.
