San Diego Padres infielder Luis Arráez is already enjoying his new team following a trade from the Miami Marlins on Friday.
"This is my first day, and I love this team already," Arráez said, according to Dennis Lin of The Athletic. "I hope we continue to play like that and then stay together, man. We are family, and I just want to be here and do my little things."
The feeling is likely mutual, as the reining National League batting champion got off to a hot start in his first appearance with the Padres.
Arráez racked up four hits in six plate appearances during San Diego's 13-1 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday, becoming the first player in franchise history to record a four-hit game in his debut.
