An ex-girlfriend of New York Mets infielder Jose Reyes has sued the four-time All-Star for child support for their seven-year-old daughter, Liyah, the New York Daily News' Christian Red reported Tuesday.
A court date is scheduled for March 22, but the lawyer representing the plaintiff, Christina Sanchez, told Red he doesn't expect Reyes to attend as the 33-year-old continues spring training with the Mets.
It's also the same date as the 2017 World Baseball Classic final, should Reyes and the Dominican Republic advance that far into the tournament.
