Jon Daniels Fired as Rangers' President of Baseball Ops; GM Chris Young Takes Over

Amid a disappointing 2022 season after spending big money to upgrade their roster last offseason, the Texas Rangers continue to clean house with Jon Daniels being the latest person to be let go.

The Rangers announced on Wednesday that Daniels has been fired as president of baseball operations and general manager Chris Young will take over his role.

The Rangers today announced that Jon Daniels has been relieved of his duties as President of Baseball Operations, effective immediately. Executive Vice President & General Manager Chris Young will assume oversight of all aspects of the Rangers’ baseball operations department.
