Jake Odorizzi, Astros Reportedly Agree to 2-Year Contract

Free-agent pitcher Jake Odorizzi has reportedly agreed to a two-year contract with the Houston Astros.

ESPN's Jeff Passan reported the deal between Odorizzi and the Astros, which also includes a player option.

Per MLB Network's Jon Heyman, Framber Valdez has a "bad finger injury" that could keep him out for a significant period of time, possibly the entire season.

The 30-year-old impressed in the two seasons he played with the Minnesota Twins following his trade from the Tampa Bay Rays in February 2018. But he was limited by injuries and threw just 13.
