Internet Goes Wild over Cardinals Being Investigated by FBI for Alleged Hacking

After news broke Tuesday that the FBI is investigating the St. Louis Cardinals organization for possibly hacking into a Houston Astros database of player information, the Internet had some a lot of fun at the Cardinals' expense.

Michael S. Schmidt of the New York Times broke the story about the alleged corporate espionage. Once everybody had some time to read through the article and digest it, the jokes and memes began to hit the web.

Todd Fuhrman of Fox Sports 1 got things started with a nice pun:

Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Brandon McCarthy believes the punishment for the Cardinals should be handled the same way players handle retaliation on the field:

in keeping with baseball tradition, a Houston exec should walk into the STL offices and hit their best front office guy with a fastball

They weren't the only ones having fun with the story, however.
