Home Run Derby 2018: Format, Start Time, Live Stream, TV Schedule and More

The Home Run Derby has grown in stature and popularity over the years. Once thought of as a novelty when the event made its debut in Kansas City in 1985, it has become a staple of the All-Star experience.

The event has gone through several format changes, and Major League Baseball appears satisfied with the current format that includes eight participants belting long balls in two brackets.

The eight-man battle will be held Monday night at 8 p.m. ET at Nationals Park in Washington D.C., and it will be televised by ESPN. The Home Run Derby can be live streamed via the WatchESPN app.
