The New York Yankees have placed star designated hitter/outfielder Giancarlo Stanton on the 10-day injured list with a right calf strain.
Stanton's move to the IL was one of numerous roster moves in the Bronx on Wednesday:
New York Yankees• Placed RHP Jonathan Loáisiga on the 15-day injured list (retroactive to 5/23) with right shoulder inflammation.<br>• Placed DH/OF Giancarlo Stanton on the 10-day injured list with a right calf strain.<br>• Designated C Rob Brantly for assignment.
Stanton exited a May 24 game against the Baltimore Orioles with the aforementioned calf injury.
