Five years ago, the Colorado Rockies received many trade offers for breakout All-Star Ubaldo Jimenez, as the team wasn’t in contention in the National League, and Jimenez had a team friendly contract. The Rockies, already in rebuilding mode, asked for top prospects in return for their ace, and one team was able to meet their high price: the Cleveland Indians. The Indians traded two starting pitchers drafted in the first round, Alex White and Drew Pomeranz, along with two other players to acquire Jimenez.
