Dodgers' Shohei Ohtani on Historic Game to Reach 50-50: I Wanted to Get It Over With

After achieving a feat no other MLB player has achieved, Shohei Ohtani shrugged off the historic accomplishment.

The Los Angeles Dodgers star admitted that he was ready to reach the 50 home run, 50 steal mark after months of fans wondering if he'd get to that mark. He achieved both milestones on Thursday after hitting three home runs with two stolen bases as part of a 6-for-6 game against the Miami Marlins.

"I wanted to get it over (with)," Ohtani said through interpreter Will Ireton, per The Athletic's Fabian Ardaya.
