Dodgers' Shohei Ohtani Not Under MLB Investigation After Interpreter's Alleged Theft

Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani isn't a target of MLB as it looks into allegations of illicit gambling surrounding his longtime interpreter, Ippei Mizuhara, according to The Athletic's Fabian Ardaya.

"Ohtani is not currently facing discipline, according to an MLB official, nor is he believed to be under active investigation by the league," Ardaya reported Thursday.

ESPN's Tisha Thompson reported Wednesday the Dodgers fired Mizuhara amid questions over millions of dollars sent to him from Ohtani's bank to cover gambling debts.
