Dodgers' Max Muncy to Undergo X-Rays After Suffering Hand Injury on HBP vs. Rangers

Just a few days into spring training, the Los Angeles Dodgers are already facing an injury scare.

The Dodgers told reporters that third baseman Max Muncy is set to undergo X-rays on his left hand after being hit by a pitch in Wednesday's game against the Texas Rangers. He initially stayed in the game and played a few innings on defense before being pulled prior to his second at-bat.

Los Angeles signed Muncy to a two-year contract worth $24 million through 2025 in November. He played the 2023 season on a one-year deal and delivered a strong campaign.
