David Freese Traded to Dodgers for Minor Leaguer Jesus Manuel Valdez

The Pittsburgh Pirates traded third baseman David Freese to the Los Angeles Dodgers in exchange for minor league infielder Jesus Manuel Valdez on Friday night.

Freese, 35, is hitting .283 with nine home runs and 41 RBI in 93 games. His .784 OPS also ranks as his best since he was an All-Star with the St. Louis Cardinals in 2012.
