Cubs' Russell has 6 RBIs in Game 6, tying mark

CLEVELAND -- With a two-run double in the first inning and a grand slam in the third, Chicago Cubs shortstop Addison Russell tied the record for most RBIs in a World Series game and put the Cubs in position to force a Game 7.

Russell's slam was the first in the World Series since Paul Konerko of the Chicago White Sox did it against the Houston Astros in 2005 -- the only time a Chicago team has won the World Series since 1917. Russell's homer came off Cleveland reliever Dan Otero, who had come on in relief of starter Josh Tomlin, and staked the Cubs to a 7-0 lead.
