Cubs' Anthony Rizzo Placed on 10-Day DL with Back Injury Retroactive to April 6

Chicago Cubs superstar Anthony Rizzo is dealing with back pain and will reportedly go on the disabled list.

Gordon Wittenmyer of the Chicago Sun-Times reported the first baseman has suffered lower-back pain since last week and was placed on the 10-day DL retroactive to Friday. That means he is eligible to return to the lineup April 16 against the St. Louis Cardinals.

Rizzo remains one of the game's most dangerous power hitters, with at least 30 home runs in four straight seasons and at least 100 RBI in three straight campaigns.
