Athletics, Oakland Discuss Lease Offer Ahead of MLB Team's Meeting with Sacramento

The Oakland Athletics and representatives from the city of Oakland and Alameda County met Tuesday to discuss the possibility of the A's extending their lease at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum through 2027.

According to ESPN's Tim Keown, the two sides met at the Athletics' team offices and no deal was reached, so the A's are now set to meet with city officials from Sacramento, California, about the possibility of playing three seasons in Sacramento before moving to Las Vegas.

The office of Oakland Mayor Sheng Thao released a statement on Tuesday's meeting, saying: "Oakland made a fair and reasonable offer to the A's.
