The MLB Trade Deadline on July 31st is approaching fast and it’s expected to be a hectic one as there is no longer a waiver deadline on August 31st. Several contenders such as the Houston Astros and Boston Red Sox are looking to bolster their pitching staffs. The Astros have interest in New York Mets starting pitcher Noah Syndergaard. Will Houston swing big again at the trade deadline? Syndergaard would certainly add to an already great rotation that includes Justin Verlander and Gerrit Cole. Marcus Stroman of the Toronto Blue Jays is another starting pitcher that has been at the center of MLB trade rumors. Seven teams had scouts at his most recent start against the Tigers. The Minnesota Twins are also very interested in adding Stroman. Madison Bumgarner may not be on the move after all as the Giants have won 16 of 19 games. Should the Giants go all-in and try to win in manager Bruce Bochy’s last season? Harrison gives his thoughts on that as well.

The Boston Red Sox are looking to beef up it’s bullpen before the MLB Trade Deadline and there’s several arms available. Kirby Yates and Ken Giles are two relievers the Red Sox are interested in. Harrison gives his thoughts on who makes more sense for Boston. The Tampa Bay Rays need to add some right-handed power to its lineup. The Rays are interested in both Nicholas Castellanos of the Tigers and Hunter Pence of the Rangers. Pence brings leadership and experience while Castellanos brings youth. Both are good options for Tampa Bay.
