The New Year is a few days away and the start of the MLB regular season is just around the corner. This means there are still three months of juicy trade and free agent rumors to come. Today's rumor mill includes some shocking news that will require an investigation by the MLB and one team.

Orioles Open To Trading Machado
The Baltimore Orioles threated to take star third baseman Manny Machado off the open market if the offers for him didn't improve. According to Jon Morosi of MLB Network, "it does not appear" the Orioles have a firm deadline on trade negotiations involving Machado.
There are many teams interested in Machado, but Robert Murray of FanRag Sports says the Chicago Cubs and Boston Red Sox are the most likely to land him.
Machado is a free agent at the end of 2018 and will likely seek a contract worth more than $300 million on the open market.
Andrew McCutchen Is Available
Jon Morosi of MLB Network confirms that Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Andrew McCutchenMcCutchen is available in trade talks.
The San Francisco Giants have shown the most interest in McCutchen, but he may be their plan b option if they can't sign the power-hitting outfielder J.D. Martinez in free agency.
The 31-year-old is due $14.5 million in 2018 because of a club option that was exercised in November. Last season, he batted .279 with 28 homers and 88 RBI over 156 games.
Miguel Sano Accused Of Sexual Assault
Minnesota Twins third baseman Miguel Sano has been accused of sexual assault by Minnesota-based photographer Betsy Bissen. Thursday morning, Bissen shared a post on social media detailing an incident with Sano during an autograph signing at a mall in 2015.
Sano allegedly tried to kiss her "more than once."
CBS Minnesota reports, Sano denies the allegations and states it never happened. The Twins are aware of what has been said. They will not comment until further information is available.
