Missouri sophomore running back Ahmad Hardy displayed competitive defiance in his signature moment from last weekend’s SEC opener against South Carolina.
His 5-yard touchdown run displayed several incredible elements, including balance, athleticism, determination and strength. But primarily his run, like so many of his runs early this season, was an act of dogged resistance.
A genuine country boy who enjoys the outdoors, fishing and riding horses, Hardy brings a hard-nosed, in-your-face mentality and attitude to the Mizzou offense. The Mississippi native originally received just two scholarship offers out of high school, but Hardy has eliminated any doubt that his dominant freshman year at the University of Louisiana-Monroe was a product of lower-tier competition.
