After a surprising Game 1 loss on Friday against Omaha that sent them straight to elimination bracket purgatory, the chances of making it out with no further losses weren’t great. After all, only five host teams before them that lost their first game advanced to a Super Regional.
But with the odds and the pundits’ opinions stacked against them — hell, with half this fanbase out for blood demanding new coaches and new players (Mizzou gonna Mizzou)— the Tigers emerged from the ashes, victorious.
