Will third time finally be a charm for Mizzou vs. Texas A&M?

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Texas A&M’s basketball team took the two rounds against Missouri in the regular season, but the Tigers can deliver the knockout blow at the Southeastern Conference tournament on Thursday in a game that figures to be drastically different from the first two meetings.

For one, Bridgestone Arena will be nearly empty. In the wake of the NCAA’s decision to prohibit the general public from attending upcoming championship events because of the coronavirus, the SEC will do the same starting with the second round Thursday.

Wednesday night’s first-round games were open to fans, but the SEC will follow the lead of the Atlantic Coast, Big Ten, Big 12 and Pac-12 conferences and close the tournament to the general public.
