Today we’re talking about the 2025 football season.
Earlier this week, ESPN published its preseason Football Power Index for the Southeastern Conference. To no shock, Texas was the pick to win the league, and number one overall in the nation. Also to no surprise, the numbers have Georgia #2 in the nation and the SEC, with Alabama #3 in the country and the league.
In what should also probably not be real shocking, the expectations for Mizzou weren’t exactly sky high - the Tigers were picked 12th in the 16-team league. However, the FPI power ranking numbers project Mizzou as the 23rd-best team in the country, so keep that in mind before getting too peeved at ESPN.
