Unfinished wrestling season 'doesn't seem real' to Mizzou standout Connor Flynn

Connor Flynn was near the top of his game when the game was called off due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Wrestling for the University of Missouri in the Mid-America Conference Tournament in DeKalb, Ill., in early March, Flynn dropped a 3-2 match in the second round but rallied to dominate in four consolation matches to take third place at 174 pounds.

During that Sunday run, Flynn won by technical fall over top-seeded Jacob Oliver of Edinboro, pinned second-seeded Dean Sherry of Rider in 1:11 and then won 7-0 over Northern Illinois’ Kenny Moore to earn his third consecutive trip to the NCAAs.
