Tigers pick up Texas running back

COLUMBIA, Mo. • Darius Anderson, one of the top running backs in the Houston area for 2016, gave Missouri a verbal commitment on Tuesday, PowerMizzou.com first reported.

Anderson, a 5-11, 190-pound back from George Ranch High in Richmond, Texas, had previously announced a list of five finalists: Mizzou, California, Houston, Texas and Utah. Rivals.com rates Anderson the No. 12 all-purpose back in the country for the 2016 class and the No. 61 player from Texas.

Here's his Hudl.com profile.

As a junior last year, Anderson ran for 1,861 yards and 14 touchdowns and caught 22 passes for 326 yards and three scores.
