It’s no secret Missouri struggled shooting from 3-point range last year, but when Cuonzo Martin explored the latest options in the transfer market, a ball-handler became a priority, too.

And not because he expected Xavier Pinson to leave. Yes, Pinson has entered the NBA draft mix to get feedback from the pros — along with teammates Jeremiah Tilmon and Mitchell Smith — but with the addition of Hawaii graduate transfer Drew Buggs, Martin envisions a backcourt with three veteran ball-handlers next season, with Buggs as the primary pass-first playmaker.
