Salary set for new Missouri D-line coach

COLUMBIA, MO. • Newly hired Missouri defensive line coach Brick Haley will make $400,000 this year, the university's custodian of records confirmed via an open records request. Haley's contract was not finalized as of Monday.

Mizzou assistant coaches are under one-year contracts with the exception of offensive and defensive coordinators Josh Heupel and DeMontie Cross, who are under contract through 2018, and co-defensive coordinator Ryan Walters, whose deal expires after the 2017 season.

Haley made $495,000 as the defensive line coach at Texas last year, according to USA Today's recent coaching salary survey. Haley, 50, spent two seasons on Texas' staff after coaching the defensive line at Louisiana State from 2009-14.
