COLUMBIA, Mo. — If Missouri takes care of its first-half business against Massachusetts on Saturday, its starters shouldn’t need to play much more than the first 30 minutes.
Like nonconference games earlier this season against Central Arkansas and Louisiana, No. 20 Mizzou’s homecoming game should give the Tigers (4-0) an opportunity to let the youngsters close out against shaky UMass (0-3).
It may very well be the last action of the season for some of MU’s freshmen, who can’t play in more than four games if they want to receive a redshirt and preserve this season of eligibility.
