Hermann, Missouri is better known for it’s Oktoberfest, girls volleyball state championships, and prolific wine production than it is known for football. In fact, after some decent research on my part, I can confirm that Mizzou’s most recent high school commit, Daeden Hopkins, is the first Hermann High School football player to be ranked higher than a 2-star by all major recruiting services since the year 2000. So kudos to the young man who I will be dubbing as the “Wine Country War Hammer” from here on out.
Where He Fits: I can’t say that I’ve seen a ton of film of a guy that plays both defensive end and wide receiver so Hopkins is certainly in rarified air.
