Pinson powers Mizzou past Razorbacks in OT

COLUMBIA, Mo. — They really should Rally for Rhyan more than once a year.

Back home and shorthanded again, the Missouri basketball team improved to 5-0 in the annual charity game for pediatric cancer research, this time needing overtime to hold off Arkansas 83-79 at Mizzou Arena.

With fouls depleting two already thin lineups, Xavier Pinson powered the Tigers (11-12, 3-7 SEC) with a career-high 24 points to help snap a two-game losing streak. Arkansas (16-7, 4-6) lost for the fifth time in its last seven games.

The game featured 59 fouls and 83 free throws as six players fouled out, four for the Razorbacks, who were missing star guard Isaiah Joe, out with a knee injury.
