No. 23 LSU brings top-tier quarterback and wideouts to clash at No. 21 Mizzou

COLUMBIA, Mo. — It’s been two years, 11 months and 20-some days since a hurricane blew Louisiana State close to Memorial Stadium’s end zone and an all-time Missouri defensive stand sealed an upset of the reigning national champions.

Times have changed since that win, which was Eli Drinkwitz’s first at the helm of MU. A pandemic-limited crowd of 10,013 watched Missouri’s 45-41 win against LSU in 2020, an added home game for Mizzou when Hurricane Delta struck Baton Rouge, Louisiana. When the purple-and-gold Tigers visit Faurot Field once again Saturday, they’ll step into a sold-out stadium.

The Southeastern Conference showdown between No.
