No. 21 Mizzou stumbles, falling to No. 23 LSU for first loss of season

COLUMBIA, Mo. — No. 21 Missouri stumbled late in a high-octane, penalty-ridden game Saturday, losing 49-39 to No. 23 Louisiana State at home.

Mizzou (5-1 overall, 1-1 SEC) led for most of the game, but LSU took control in the third quarter before scoring the game-winning touchdown with just under three minutes left in the game.

Potential Heisman candidate Jayden Daniels paced LSU (4-2, 1-1) with 259 yards through the air and 130 yards on the ground, which were particularly punishing down the stretch. Wide receiver Malik Nabers, who finished with 146 receiving yards, caught the winning score.
