COLUMBIA, Mo. • Missouri assistant coach Craig Kuligowski knew Charles Harris played the best game of his young career at Arkansas State on Saturday but figured it wasn’t enough to earn the Southeastern Conference’s weekly defensive honor. Harris had two sacks in MU’s 27-20 win and 4.5 tackles for loss, an outstanding game by any measure — except compared to his teammate.
“After the game, I told him, ‘Kentrell’s going to get (SEC) defensive player of the week,’” Kuligowksi said. “‘That’s a great game, but I think he’s going to get it.’”
He was right.
