Mizzou's J'den Cox captures bronze in Rio

UPDATED, 3:40 p.m.

J'den Cox is brining an Olympic medal home to Mizzou.

After a disappointing and confusing loss in Saturday's semifinal match in Rio, Cox completed his medal quest with a victory in the bronze medal match, winning by disqualification when Cuba's Reineris Salas refused to finish the match.

A replay review had just awarded Cox the two-point takedown to put him in front with six seconds left in the match. Salas requested a review of the review and when denied, he walked off the mat. Cox's arm was lifted in victory. Cox led 3-1 on the scoreboard.
