Mizzou's fifth-year seniors have 'seen it all' through seasons of change as home finale looms

COLUMBIA, Mo. — Before Saturday’s home finale against Tennessee, the Missouri football team will honor its 18 seniors, a unique group that includes six fifth-year scholarship seniors who have been on campus longer than anyone on the roster. That means each has seen a few things over the course of his career.

Starting with the turbulent 2015 season, the ensuing head-coaching change, five years worth of peaks and valleys and this year’s NCAA sanctions, those six holdovers from coach Gary Pinkel’s final recruiting class have experienced their share of joy, sorrow and every emotion in between.

“We’ve seen it all,” safety Ronnell Perkins said as MU prepares for its home finale to the season, Saturday night against Tennessee.
