Mizzou spring football postponed by SEC shutdown

COLUMBIA, Mo. — From baseball to softball to spring football, all sports at the University of Missouri are on hold for the next month in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

On Friday, the Southeastern Conference suspended all team activities for its member schools through April 15. That includes games, practices and any team meetings. Eliah Drinkwitz’s Missouri football team was scheduled to have its fourth spring practice Friday afternoon but canceled that practice and ceased all team activities.

Mizzou’s remaining 12 spring practices are in jeopardy, including the Black and Gold spring game that was scheduled for April 11.
