Mizzou softball rallies past Kansas

COLUMBIA, Mo. • A 5-3 win over Kansas was worth the wait for the Missouri softball team Saturday. After a five-hour delay for the threat of bad weather, the Tigers used a three-run fifth inning to come from behind against their former conference rivals and clinched a spot in Sunday’s NCAA regional championship game at University Field.

The Tigers (41-14) will face the winner of Saturday's late game between Indiana State and Kansas. The Sycamores beat Louisville 2-1 in eight innings Saturday to stay alive.

Sunday’s championship game is set for a noon start. Should Missouri lose Sunday, a rematch will start 30 minutes later to decide the champion in the double-elimination regional.
