COLUMBIA, Mo. • Shortly after accepting the job as Missouri’s new basketball coach, Cuonzo Martin got on the phone Wednesday with C.J. Roberts, the only recruit Mizzou added during the fall signing period. Martin plans to visit the Roberts family next week in Dallas, Craig Roberts Sr., the player’s father said Thursday in a phone interview.
For now, Roberts will not ask out of his letter of intent to pursue offers from other schools, but the family wants to hear more from the new coach.
Wednesday’s call sounded promising.
