COLUMBIA, MO. • Missouri had a lighter practice Friday as the Tigers prepare for Saturday’s closed scrimmage, the first of the preseason.
A few quick notes …
• The Tigers were running low on healthy tight ends. Jason Reese (back spasms), Albert Okwuegbunam (hamstring) and Logan Christopherson (sprained ankle) were held out of most drills Friday, though Barry Odom said they’d all likely play if the Tigers were playing a game Saturday. Also limited Friday were defensive tackle Markel Utsey (shoulder), safety Ronnell Perkins (hamstring), cornerback Terry Petry (hamstring), receiver Justin Smith (knee) and linebacker Kaleb Prewett (hip).
