COLUMBIA, Mo. • Missouri freshman quarterback Drew Lock woke up Sunday with more aches and pains than any other Sunday this season.
“Maybe a little bit, but that’s just football,” he said Monday. “Welcome to the SEC, I guess.”
Lock got his official Southeastern Conference welcoming party on Saturday courtesy of the Florida defense. In his second career start, Lock was hit to the ground 12 times by nine different defenders in the 21-3 loss. Completing nearly 70 percent of his passes coming into the game, Lock was 16 for 39 passing (41 percent) for 151 yards against a Florida defense that mostly relied on its defensive line to pressure the pocket.
