COLUMBIA, MO. • For the first time in a decade, Missouri is launching a Heisman Trophy campaign. On Thursday, Mizzou football's Twitter account released an 80-second video pushing senior quarterback Drew Lock for the sport's most prestigious individual award. The video flashes the word H3ISMAN, replacing the E with a 3, Lock's jersey number.
The highlight clips include a snippet from ESPN's Todd McShay, one of the network's two primary NFL draft analysts, touting Lock as the top quarterback prospect for the 2019 draft. The school plans to roll out other elements to promote Lock this summer, MU deputy athletics director for communications Nick Joos said.
